Earth School

What if Earth is a school? Like we’ve been sent here from some other far, far away galaxy or something?

What??? Okay, wait hear me out.

Being human is complex, multi-faceted, and exciting. There is one Earth, but inside each individual is a unique perspective, world-view, and consciousness (and way, way more). We’re each living inside of our own dream. When we connect with each other, our individual universes collide and we expand and adapt. Human beings are the only known species to hold such morals, values, and aspirations. But why?

Well, what if Earth is a school and we’re supposed to come here, have experiences, be tested, be uncomfortable, and then rise from it all? What if our emotions are our greatest teacher? An anagram of Earth is heart. Emotions are the driving force behind our actions and impact our choices. Are you connected with your heart or are you constantly in your mind?

What if you didn’t have fear or anxiety, where would you be? The thing is, is that the fear, or whatever unfavorable emotion you’re experiencing is the teacher to expose you to what areas are still core wounds. And why is that? It’s to push you to grow. Like that feeling of shame or guilt. It is pushing you to live more in alignment with your true self. You can live the life of your greatest dreams through connecting with your emotions and identifying them. Once the emotions have a name, we can look and investigate, “Okay, where is this feeling of _____ coming from?”

Most people are running on programs that were instilled in them during ages 0-7. What we learn during those ages becomes a part of our subconscious and thus continues to impact us into our adulthood, if we don’t actively work toward healing the negative programming. During this time, we are often taught that we are powerless, which couldn’t be farther from the truth. We are powerful and magical creators who indeed have free will.

“We are here to learn how to get out of here. It is in our best interest to take responsibility for the conflicts and challenges we face in life. To learn our lessons now so that we don’t have to come back and repeat them in the next life. What we do now directly impacts our next life.”

-Alan Arcieri

It’s not as easy as just “changing,” but instead being purposeful about where we place our energy and attention and choosing wisely. Once we master certain lessons, it creates the space for us to continue on the spiritual path to enlightenment, or as Abraham Maslow puts it, self-actualization; becoming the best version of ourselves.
